I'm looking for some means of video capture that allows me to record the playing of a video game, and simultaneously stream it. If that is the road you wish to travel, do some tests with them to see the difference in quality of each. You may find that a better video card can help to serve both you and your screen as well as the recording software that will be 'sharing' your screen with you. A better video card (upgrade) would be very smart, if you plan on using this professionally. If you already have a top of the line card, don't worry.



Now, one other option is to record to your VCR, PVR or to a DVD. If you have any of these devices (DVD recorder required to write to dvd) then you can use an S-Video cable to transfer the screen of your laptop to that of the VCR/PVR/DVD recorder. This would be great quality but is not always the option for some people.
