Is there anyway to force a computer game to run in a certain resolution?

I have an older game called "Hegemonia: Legions of Iron" that I want to play in a 15:10 resolution because of my widescreen monitor, but the game doesn't allow me to change to a widescreen resolution, it just has 4:3 resolutions listed. Is there anyway I can force the game to play in a certain resolution?Is there anyway to force a computer game to run in a certain resolution?There is a program that forces any window into windowed mode, you could maximize the window and it will wIll be the same...i guess. I forgot what the program is called you can probably google it. All you need to do is open it through the program.
