Does it hurt a non gaming laptop to game?

I have a dell inspiron 1545 and i was wanting do so some gaming on it, but nothing crazy. I have provided more airflow to the system by placing objects under the back feet of the laptop so cooling is not an issue. Does it damage a laptop to game even if it does have proper cooling? You can play games like counter strike or wow but at low settings.
