I take it to VIDEO EZY or sometimes CIVIC VIDEOS. That's the best option to do it, that's wat i do, like once i had god of war 1 on ps2 but it kept freezing at a particular place so i took it to CIVIC VIDEOS and they cleaned it, and when i got home i played the game without any freezes :D. hope this helped. BTW CHECK OUT THIS PS3 GAME SURVEY MADE BY ME, IT"S VERY COOL.

Oh no :( I have Resident Evil 4 for the PS2 and it is my favourite game! unfortunatly, I bought the game used and it does the same thing :( There are 2 or 3 cut scenes that always freeze up and I have to restart everything. The easiest fix that I have found for this was to just skip the cut scenes! are you able to do that with your game? It worked for my game, And I can play all the way through as long as I remember to press the skip button before it gets a chance to freeze.
AHHHH its the most annoying thing ever! I haven't found anything that you can do to the disc gets it to work right... I tried washing it with soap and water, which I later learned was NOT the right thing to do! luckily it didn't do any more damage to the disc.
sorry my answer is pretty much useless, but at least you know theres more than one person in your boat of freezing video games!
