How do you exit the game pokemon colesseum properly when playing it on the Wii?

I cannot find a way to get back to the start screen of the game or to get back to the main Wii menu other then pressing the reset button and switching the console off and on. Is there a better way to exit the game properly without having to do this? The game is the gamecube version of pokemon colesseum but I am using the Wii to play it.How do you exit the game pokemon colesseum properly when playing it on the Wii?When playing Nintendo gamecube games on the Wii treat the Wii in the same manner as a gamecube.



Insert the disc and start playing the game. When you are done for the day, save your progress and turn the system's power OFF. Then press the eject button to remove the disc, and put it back in its case.

EDIT: I realize that the Wii Remote is likely non-functional during GameCube use. Therefore, what about simply ejecting the disc (maybe reset first)? If there's no disc, the Wii should go back to the menu. Again, you might have to reset first.
