Is it better to purchase xbox 360 games using Microsoft Points or buying the actual game from a game store?

I have never purchased Microsoft Points. Are there any advantages to purchasing games using the points rather than buying the game in its original format?Is it better to purchase xbox 360 games using Microsoft Points or buying the actual game from a game store?I think buying the actual game is better, just in case someone DID hack your account you would still have the games.Is it better to purchase xbox 360 games using Microsoft Points or buying the actual game from a game store?

I do prefer to buy discs even though do have a 120 GB hard drive. It is true that the console is louder with the disc than if you just download games. I also buy my games used so I end up getting some of them cheaper than what the download costs. Plus, I do much prefer to just take a disc to a friends house to play rather than run around with my hard drive.



If ya got a large enough hard drive, I'd say it doesn't matter, do which ever is lighter on your wallet. Yeah puchasing games over LIVE is a very good idea if you have the space for it. You're xbox runs quiet, you dont have any discs to be careful with, and its the same quality.



problem is buying stuff and dowloading it is a pain cause it takes up soooo much space

- Depending on your connection, it may take a while to download a full game

- Takes up a lot of HDD space

- Won't be able to sell or trade-in when you're tired of it

depends on how big of hard drive you have. personally i prefer actual hard copies but i own a lot of games. so if you play casually and have limited space for games but have a big enough hard drive it wouldn't be a bad idea. plus you can always re download it for free if the data gets corrupted.
I think it's better to buy the actual game because 1. You can resell the game. 2. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy it from a store than to buy it from MS. 3.
