What does it take to become a game designer?

I want to pursue a career in game designer. I am in my senior year and even though I had never taken calculus, my strong point is mostly in art and I can be creative when I want to be. I recall that you need psychology for game designer, and I have taken sociology and psychology classes. I have also taken a computer graphics class. I know that game designer involves a lot of teamwork, but I always wanted to make my own storyline, characters, levels, music, etc. What does it take to be a game designer and what type of experience do I need?What does it take to become a game designer?A miracle. Pretty much everyone wants to be a game designer and unless you are the best of the best (there are plenty of people trying to get into the field who are very strong in both art and math) you will not be successful.
