What happens when you buy a game of steam?

I am new to the whole steam process and i just wanted to know if the games you bout off of steam will automatically download or if they send you a disk. I wanted to get modern warfare 2 and i just wanted to know... Also is there a way i could check and see if my computer is compatible for this game? Because my orange box game crashes my pc every time i play it and my pc is like an 03 with all the updates. What happens when you buy a game of steam? If your pc does not run the orange box, there is no way it will run MW2.

There is no way to try any games out just like if you bought it on a disk. If any game has a demo then you can see if that runs before you buy the full game. No they do not send out disks it is a digital copy only. The good thing is that if you ever do get a new PC, or go to a friends you can log onto steam and re download the game and play it there. What happens when you buy a game of steam? When you buy from steam the client system will allow you to download and install it straight from steam. Also if your game is crashing with orange box and you just bought MW2 it is more than likely the experience you have with MW2 will be the same. A computer from 03 will not have the compatibility of running something like that very well. What happens when you buy a game of steam? You don't ever get a copy of the game shipped to you, you simply download it, with the option to back up the files locally (to a hard drive or disc). Check out this link: http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/sr鈥?/a> for software that will help you determine if you can run the game. 7 years old is pretty old, though, I seriously doubt you can run it.
