Is there any possible way having a PC game run faster and more smoothly by not only changing game graphics?

You know how in a PC game you can change the graphics settings to let your gameplay run more smoothly? Well is there any possible way changing settings on your PC to help the game? Im running on Vista. Could things like un-instaling other games help help? Please tell me other ideas.

But you can make sure no other programs are running while you are playing and that might help your RAM, but uninstalling other games will do nothing to help you out.

You can try overclocking your processor and graphics card, but then you are risking burning up your PC. It tends to make your processor and video card run very hot. I believe they have free software that you can download if you are seriously interested in trying that.
